30bps on the highest setting you can check the online manual : http://www.dyematrix.com/manuals/ProtoManuals/M7_Manual.pdf

as far as the Ego5 vs PM7 marker choice is down to personal preference, I can’t comment on the Ego5 as I've never used on but I've enjoyed using the PM7.
