Very few teams train 3-4times per week. At your level most teams would be closer to 1-3 times per month.

Cost wise, a team might have a team kit they might need you to buy then the cost of travel to and from training/events, green fees and paint. I would budget an absolute minimum of £45 per training session, if not quite a bit more.

First priority must be to find a team. Brotherhood sound like a good place to start. If you cannot get on the forum just PM Soul Doubt.

That person i first mentiond in the first post said to go on the brotherhood forum and ask about, i tried but it wouldnt let me join up :[

But if i was to continue i have about 7000 paints left and only se about 300 per time out my garden. What sort of stuff is the best to help me improve? (Like in football, you can go round the park take shots play with mates lalala but what can i do with paintballing on my own as no one around me enjoys it as much as i do!)

Also how much a month would it cost to say join a team locally and train say 3/4days a week? or does it depend on team/site/players?
If you played 3 or 4 times a week, you will be better than most of us within a year! Most teams play once or twice a month inc practices.

Are you looking at playing woodsball or sup'air.

If you want to get into sup'air, i suggest you pop down to the CPPS and have a good chat with Rich harris, he is looking at something to help out new players finding it hard to start up.

Oh my bad! Damn noobie that i am :D
is it really expensive to prac+Play or moderate depending what you earn/have
its different for different people. And also depends what game type you are playing, which format, how far away it is, all sorts of different factors.

If you want to play twice a month for £60 you might struggle.

Could play twice a month for probs £100....

£20 walk-on fee.... £30 box of paint bobs your uncle :D

if your playing tourneys your looking at £40 entry fee and at least a box of paint possibly more depending on where you play front back etc etc.

ball costs me about 100-150 quid a month, and thats training once a month sometimes twice a month and xball
and "to get anywehre" takes time, practice and effort, as does anything else... just give it more time, get down to your loacl sup'air site where ever that may be and just go out and shoot some mofos! :)
in no time you'll have a team!

Yea thats £50 a shot, but thats if the site is outside your house. Plus fuel £10 - £30+

Food, bring your own is cheap but a Burger King on the way home is another £6

Batteries £5 - £10 depending on where you get em

It all adds up.

Also rather than using paint in your garden why not make up a snap box and pick up some re balls/Aballs for about £20 for a hopper or so es worth and they can be reused no problems.

I think there are a couple of teams in wales that come down to CPPS quite frequently or even a few players from that area who may be able to offer a lift.

dont worry too much about shelling out on shiny shiny kit, just save yourself some money and get some games going.

if you get to CPPS i have a bit of kit your more than welcome to borrow for a days worth of gaming if you want.
