PB gear is cheaper in the US becuase it cater for a far larger audience in comparison to the UK. Over here, PB is still a niche sport and so, prices for kit remain relatively high.

ansgear charge a lot more than $25 for shipping.....

Not to mention the fact that it is more than likely that you'll be hit by customs fees too, which is what happened to me. Got lumbered with the payable tax for the overall cost of my items + shipping as well.

Better to get a 2nd hand rotor off these forums - like mine :)

just went on ansgear and checked the shipping rates for a pibnokio to the uk and had variable rates from $25.58 for usps 1st class international to $56.16 for fed ex
so if you go for the lowest shipping that's $150.53/£93.34 but you will almost deffinitely be charged import tax which will take it up to, if not higher than the cost of a rotor. And if you buy one in the uk you will be supporting your nations stores and helping them to continue with everything they do :)
i hav always liked the idea of a pinokio but the simplicity and robustness of the rotor led me down that route so i'd reccomend a rotor, but that's only my tupence
