Hi thanks very much for looking into this for me I appreciate it, but I just feel a little cheated, I agree that I am buying a three year old second hand marker its bound to have wear and tear which the seller did advertise but as 'a few scratches and dents', as I have written on several threads I dont think this is accurate at all, Cool3108 did also post a video fair enough, but it did not show the full extent of wear and tear. Not to mention him editing the thread to include the 'No refunds bit' made it look as though he new exactly what he was doing.

During a phone call with Cool3108 to try and solve the issue he did Admitt that the marker was in a worse condition than he advertised and said that he would offer me a full refund but couldn't because he had spent the money on an Ego. After a long discussion we agreed to a £30 refund ( I originally asked for a £60 refund as Cool3108 pointed out people who had seen the marker in the flesh had offered him £170 so I thought that was a good bench mark but he still pushed it down further saying he had no money). However I agreed to this because Cool3108 told me he had no money and his parents could not help him because of issues within his family which he went into in great detail, he fed me a sob story true or not he made me feel sorry for him to prevent me asking for a full refund and putting on pressure to get it (borrowing money or selling his other marker). And he assured me he had no other possible way to pay me back, he had nothing to sell of value, no job, no money nothing.

So fair enough I made an agreement I'm happy to stick to my word after all its my fault if I fall for a sob story but to then find out he's buying and selling on the forum and had plans to sell goods he was in possesion of the whole time as soon as he is back from his holiday just rubs salt in the wound. Added to this the whole problem with the trigger not getting here! The whole thing just seems to be one convienient problem after another.

Fair enough I'll stop banging my drum I did get a little bit wound up because, I was initally lied to to sell me the marker (as I said to Cool3108 I appreciate the photos and video but they did not show the full extent to which he agreed but what about the power of words to give a better description?) Then I was lied to to agree to a part refund instead of a full one which the seller agreed I was entitled to and now the trigger is missing! Not to mention Cool3108 ended up with a new marker he's buying new kit and he's soon to be selling two PMR's.

I will talk with the seller on his return.

not wishing to jump over the mods or anything, but IF the scratches etc are worse than advertised, why not prove it??

Sounds like a good idea they where hard to photograph because they are small but I have taken 15 photos of fifteen different scratches (the larger and deeper ones as they where easier to photograph) all the rest are smaller and I cant get them on my camera. Which I am happy to send via mobile phone to a MOD as I'm prity bad with computers and have no idea how to get a photo from my phone to laptop.

Cool3108 you actually agreed with me the marker was in a worse state than advertised and I cant help but believe you new exactly what you where doing as shortly after getting a message from me to say I was not happy with it you edited the post to say no refunds and sent me a pm 'sorry mate but as it says on the thread no refunds will be given. I highlighted as many scratches as i could see in the video as you can check.'

To be fair to you they are small and hard to photograph as I just discovered but why not write the description?

There are more scratches I just tried to photograph more but it wont come out properly will fifteen be enough or does 'a few scratches and dents' describe that well enough? if it does I will try and borrow a better camera to photograph the rest.

Dude seriously, chill out ! The seller has said he will deal with this. And you just seam to be dragging up the same issue. If you wanted a new marker you should have bought one. Not a three year old one, I really think your over reacting. Speak to the seller and try and work it out

As with anything bought second hand; if the item is in worse condition than advertised, then surely a refund is due? A "couple scratches" does not equate to 15 (couple = 2).

If you bought a second hand car believing it had done 10,000 miles, but when you got it realised it had done 30,000.. it is not as described, and certainly isn't worth as much. Hence why con artists would wind the mileage back so the car is "worth" more than it's true value.

Surely the same applies aesthetically with a marker.

Ok I will speak to the seller, although he's not dealing with it, all he'll do is offer me £10 for the trigger and then say he cant give me a full refund because he has no money. I dont want the trigger I want my money back because he's lied through his teeth to take my money from me. Without help from the MOD's I'm stuffed what can I do. I guess I'll just have to learn from this.
