Regardless of any mistakes made, we all make them, personaly, I'd hand it in to the bank .... it would take far more than a hundred quid for me to be classed alongside abbott and breakwell ...

The guy might be a millionaire and give you a double that as a reward for your honesty. Keep it and a piano will probably fall on you and kill you.

Try and find the guy on facebook.......you have his name and you know he's in your area.

You know what, I'm impressed by the honesty of you lot. I was intending on being honest about it and hand it in. I mean, I've already tried to hand it in at the police station. I'll pop in tomorrow and sort it out.

Although I am expecting some karmic realignment. I mean, I'm the unluckiest person you'll ever meet. I'm due a break....

The question everyone should be asking, is why didnt you hit "balance" first, so that you could have taken the proper amount out :D

If you give it back to them (the bank) i doubt they would put it back in his account, I suggest taking it as a downpayment for all the money the bankers owe us.... ;)

But in all honestly regardless if this guy was a saint or a tool, for your own moral integrity i would take it back :) if no one cliams it maybe they will give it to you in a month or something, then its win win :D:first:

Why didnt you just click cancel and remove the card from the machine without drawing any cash out? You had the choice right there to do that but instead you willfully choose to steal £100 from somebodys account....

I'd have just handed the card in at the bank.... now i guess you'll have to hand the card and the cash into the bank.

Either that or keep both and burn in fire and damnation.... :)

Have you any ideea the things Cook$ has done to raise money for charity? I doubt in anyway the £100 would ever have stayed with him and that this post was more a test/debate/conversation starter.

Next time read the original post more carefully.

Personally I'd hand it in and let the bank sort it. These days you get no thanks for doing the right thing but it doesn't mean you should do the wrong thing either.

Like I've said (twice) I've already tried to hand it in at the police station.

Also, it's pretty difficult to instantly make the correct (morally right) decision when you don't know all the factors. Especially when you are skint and faced with potentially free money.

The Mrs is taking it to the bank today. The guy will get his card and his cash back. So my conscience is clear, and he might not make the same dickhead mistake again.
