so called 1 of 1 custom markers!!

I thought id have my little rant here rather than get a
roasting off a mod on a for sale thread!

Why do people get away with advertising something as a 1 of 1 or custom marker by simply swapping a coloukit or parts from another marker!!

Anyone could make that colour combination! It was never released as a limited edition! And to me its as close to false advertising! And especially to someone new to buying a marker etc!!

it might be the mix of paint in the marker thats a one of as it was mixed and then annoed etc to order.

i know my etek is one of seven due to the particular type/shade of blue/mix used one the 7 was unique to the team that ordered them.

and it even states on the colour section of the box that its a custom colour.

That's fine but if you were to sell it as such surely you would take a pic of that bit on the box as a proof!

Im talking about the constant threads that appear where people have simply got 2 markers and traded the parts of different colours!

Ok customised is a fair choice of word to use, but my point of 1of 1 still stands!! It isn't unique or limited if it can be replicated with the simple point of part swapping!!

Vicious factory anno there owns guns. They produce and advertise 1 of 1 colour scheme, until they decide to produce another.

I think when there is a difference in internals or different milling, then it can be seen as a 1of1 marker, the colour sceme shouldnt be a point to sell a marker as a 1of1 but thats just my opinion.

I mean, if it was specifically made differently for someone then this is definatly the case, but just switching the accents doesnt count as a one off in my opinion
