09 E- Vents question

Hey lads,

Heres a question, I`m playing at D10 soon, and thinking of using the spare lense that came with my empire E-Vents, however I can`t remember whether its thermal.

Don`t wanna treck half way across the map and then they start fogging.

Can anyone remember whether the clear lense spare is thermal?

Or a better question has anyone used it?

Never used it, but Im sure its not a thermal lense.

BUT can you not just have a look at it? If it has 2 layers, its a thermal.

Alternatively you could put the lens in the mask, and run around your room for half an hour with the mask on and see if it fogs up.

As far as I'm aware it's thermal. I used to use it for marshalling to stop the smoke lense getting wrecked and it never fogged. This was wearing it for periods of 2-3 hours at a time at Diamond Wars

Wow, i`ve never used it and i`ve just taken it out of its microfibre cover and the lense has gone all bubbly.

Now I know why they took it out of production, rofl.

Bubbly - Sure thats not the protective film?

Pretty sure the clear was thermal, but like Bolter said - look; if there are 2 panes it's thermal.

The spare lens from 09 vents is single, and crap. In fact, you used to be able to send them back and get new ones, as the anti-scratch coating comes off without ever using the mask. I had to give a bunch of free clear lenses away, but Kee did replace them for me.

In short, it's a single, and not a good one. You'll need a lens.

Yeah thats exactly what happened, and yes its single pane lol.

I`ll just stick to my smoke lense, its a little scratched, just wanted to try a clear lense.

You reckon they`ll hit me up with one even tho its 2 years old? Lmao..

There is a precedent. If I were you I would tie it in with an order - eg. "I would like a prophecy please, please send it with my replacement single ventz lens."
Then you have a chance. I am sure most Kee locations were sent some single lenses to use as replacements, and they may not have used them all up yet.
Worth a try.
