UK pb vs US pb

i was just wondering what the skill differences is between the UK the rest of Europe and the US.
For example what would division 3 psp mean if someone wanted to play over here say in the mills or cpps? etc

1. The skill gap is huge between the UK and USA. There have been no UK teams competing in the Pro divisions of the NPPL or PSP for the last few years, but back in the early 90's the Predators were beating the top US teams.

2. The better UK teams can hold their own against Euro teams at present.

3. A D3 PSP player would probably be a good pickup for an MS or CPPS team - for example, Operation Sandbag plays D3 PSP, and they have a roster which includes Ledz and numerous ex-Nexus players.

Well we played in Div 3 Race to 4 points (Tigers 2 and Relentless) and came 4th and we play in Div 2 in Milleniums!!!!!!!!!!!!!

okies thanks for the replies, i was just watchin some vids online and it seemed that even the div3 players were pretty good over there hehe, seems i was right, cheers. i didnt realise the gap was quite tht big tho

what twizz said! having played both last year under his leadership i would say that div 3 PSP is a fair bit tougher than div 2 millenium.

We can compete when we have the resolve to do so .. I am damned sure we have the players to compete but we haven't got the infratsrcture or enough people who know what they are doing at the top end of our sport.

I detest the fact the Yanks are practically so far in front of us but it's something we have to live with given our domestic circumstances

I say we need a UK Paintball revolution! I dont know how that would work exactly but . . . it should happen. Obviously the problem is that the sport isnt as widley accepted here as it is in the US, which is a shame. For example, i will be talking to my friends and it will come up that i play a bit of tournament paintball, and my friends will be like 'so there are like tournaments in the woods? are they at Delta Force?' Then i have to explain how the whole tournament thing works, and how its played on sup-air fields etc. Nothing angers me more.

You have to remember, when you talk to anyone that doesn't have half an ounce of knowledge about paintball their first thought is a bunch of people running around in some woods.

It may anger you to explain what it is that we do (be it scenario or sup-air) but those people you talk to then become informed of the sport we love, which in turn they either might like to have a look, take more interest and even play alongside us. Then if they in turn tell a group of friends then the snowball effect comes into place.

Ofcourse there is good and bad sides to more people becoming interested, once in a while there is the odd 'bad egg' that appears and tried to fk people over but at the end of the day if more people know, more it can be accepted.

Who knows what talent could be out there that doesn't even know about it.

Yer you have a good point actually, but nevertheless, it still gets old explaining to people that there is more to paintball than an Inferno and a Boiler Suite.
