hey guys, I think that most (planet eclipse or dye etc.) kit bags are a rip off. For what you can get from sportsdirect.com for a nike £30 massive sport bag is £200 from just paintball. (small bags =£15 on sportsdirect.com and on jp = £70). Should I just get an XL nike bag for my stuff instead of an eclipse one. Seems a good way on savin £150, just want your opinions...

Youd be better off picking up a second hand kitbag to be honest. theyre desinged with your kit in mind, rather than just being a big holdall.

i got an xl "no fear" duffle-bag from SoccerSports for about £15 (a highstreet sport shop), and i'll be honest i'd rather i didn't. I have a lot of equipment, and they're not the most comfortable thing to carry heavy weights around in. They're good for some clothes for a weekend away, or a towel and some clothes for the gym, but in terms of paintball you're better off investing in a second hand Eclipse bag, or even a rucksack which are specifically built to accommodate paintball gear.

Obviously a PE or Dye bag is going to work really well because they've got the kinda handy compartments for paintball specific gear, especially bits like tool pouches and things. i'm a tightarse the same as you and resent paying the money and i bought a moderately expensive sports gear bag (relatively cheap to pball bags) which works great because its got plenty of space for everything and has a smaller pouch on the front for things like batteries, tools, spares etc.

in all honesty a pball big will always be better but the thing i'd look for is plenty of space; wheels; extra compartments. regardless of what people say from my personal experience my sports bag works just as good as every other pball bag,. lets be honest all its designed to do is get stuff from the house to the car to the field and back =\

I've just got one of those jt bags and it's massive. It will hold everything you have got plus the kitchen sink. And still have space. Problem you might have is fitting it into a small car boot. But for the money it is a lot better than a sports bag.
