A few of my mates are into paintball (in teams or go on regular walk on days) and I really enjoy it so I've decided to start. I wanna buy a pretty good gun to start off with eg. etek 2, invert mini with halo too or halo v35 so that I dont have to upgrade. Is this the right thing to do? There is a site round by me that does walk on days once a month at a decent price.

Any advice would be very helpful :)

Thanks

Go for an etek 3 which you could quite easily pick up from this forum in the for sale section, they are very easy to maintain and very reliable, you can also easily get parts if needed for this marker.

Make sure you buy a decent set of goggles!!

A set of goggles are the first thing you should buy, followed by;

Gun - etek 3 is the best bet at a resonable price

Loader - Halo's do a great job, but if you dont want to upgrade for a while a 'dye rotor' is the best bet at around £80 - £90 on here, but like i say you wont have to upgrade and you very rarely get problems with them.

Air bottle - up to you really, im sure some people can point you in the right direction for these.

Then either playing clothing or some comfortable combats etc! - Playing clothing brought 2nd hand off here is at a good price, maybe £50 for top and pants/trousers!

ive got a pair of i4's and i cant fault them, very comfortable and great vision there also one of the lightest ones on market (i think thats right??)

if you have m8s that use diff types see if they will let you try them as you could by the best on market and not like them.

Ring your local site to see if they will lend you site equipment for a walkon. Or do you friends have spare equipment to lend you? then you have a full day with peeps who will more than welcome let you have a go with there equipment. See what you like and try things out. Whats right for one person is maybe not right for you. Every product has it's pros and cons. it's just all down to personal preference and how it feels.
