It shouldnt matter to the so called pro's how the lay out of a field is or how its going to change!

It's all well and good saying if you want to compete and win, then you should loose weight and get fit but if your that dedicated and good at the game, then these changes shouldn't be a problem for the so called pro's, the best adapt.

Or is it that these so called pro's are scared of being schooled by a bunch of old, over weight, players that have come back to the sport cause of these changes? :p
How many Pro's are whinging about the changes?

the length of the field is kinda the same thing as BPS drop. less balls in the air less chance of getting shot of the break more movement etc. but 20yards isnt a massive amount of space.

i think the layout thing would be cool to test out.. but i don't overly see the point in the other changes. hopefully the MS will not follow suit

im saying why are they changing the rules to benifit them.
How about opening up to as many players as possible? Or perhaps you'd like to see paintball wither and die because the current formats are not sustainable?

How can you not see that making paintball accessible to as many people as possible is a benefit?

Or maybe you are just a really rich midget which gives you an edge you don't want to lose....

well its hard to tell but i was reading another forum or tweet and there seems to be alot of elitist players against this change who probs consider themselves as such hence why i said "so called"

I've played for a fair few years, played in the woods, played Pro NPPL for three years and and CPL since it started so and some of the best games I've played in and watched were on the old fields with bigger bunkers, when often opposing playes were playinig out of each side of the same bunker for the entire game, its good to watch

Ledz is one of the best players I've watched played alongside, it would be a sad day when someone as good as him hangs up their gun for good just because he doesn't confirm to the "x-ball dwarf on speed" requirement in order to play out of these bunkers.

bring on the changes

I actually don't want to see a 25 second match, where 4 people from one team are shot before they make their primary bunker. I think that kind of game looks crap, and it's definitely not what paintball is about IMO.
couldn't agree more

Anonymous People with no business sense and teen-angst attitudes will always b1tch thre loudest. It's how they get attention. Im my opinion the PSP can safely ignore the uneducated - they will follow anyway, whining along the way.

Some really positive changes there I think and I really hope that the MS and domestic leagues follow suit.

Tournament paintball absolutely should be a hobby that is open to every single person wanting to play. It's never going to be a cheap game but peoples size and athletic ability should never be a barrier to them playing a tournament. Bigger bunkers and more accesible bunkers will benefit pro players just as much as the rest of us!

No field plans prior to game weekends would be fantastic in my opinion. Lets go back to people turning up on the Saturday to walk the fields camping out, having a few beverages, bbq and making a weekend of it. This is much better value experience for players imo. The best teams who train will still win. Personally I'd much rather turn up to a tournament and not have to play the field I'd already played a hundred times playing out set plays etc. I'm sure Rich could come up with some fun fields for us to play next season :)

The only change I don't think makes much sense is the change in the size of the field. I don't see it making much difference to games and only causes grief for training sites having to change the field lengths.

The changes will attempt to bring back proper beginning, middle and end games rather than the current 'game on straight to end game' paintball we have suffered for so long.

The modern game requires fliers to get into back corners, let alone mid and front spots, and it is that sort of madness that puts off the rank and file of the circuit.

Ms to follow? Lets hope they get on it now, not lag 12 months behind.
