How do I restore/repair nicks and scuffs in annodising

Sorry if this has been covered before, but if your marker is beat up and scuffed to hell, is there a way of repairing or polishing it back up to nearly new without having a brand new anno job. You can repair scratches and scuff on a cars paint job, what about a gun?

i'm in agreement with this, my beloved etek has a fair amount of "character" in need of removal :p

although i do not think there is any solution. never tried but i'd imagine companies will still charge for annodising repairs, although probably not as much :)

Only after a very long time. (like about an hour of rubbing)

But it's only good for polished surfaces. Never tried it on dust. My gut says that would be a bad idea.
