M7 Race to 4 format
For 2011 we will run two divisions of the SPL Race 4 format for the season.
Elite League Race to 4. We will be inviting the top UK teams to compete in this locked division and battle it out against each other across the 6 legs for the series tittle. We hope this will not only provide a great viewing spectacle for teams to watch but also help improve the level of the competing teams in the bigger events and push the UK up the rankings in there respective brackets.
Division 2 will be an open division format the same as we have run the last two seasons. This is the only way into division one as well through winning promotion.
In both divisions all teams will recieve a minimum of 4 prelim matches at each round.
Entry fee will be £245 per round if teams play all 6 rounds, or £275 per round otherwise.
M5 Format
M5 Premiere League
Expanded to 18 teams for 2011. Race to 2 M5 format with prelim rounds plus an additional play off system for the group winners. This will be the only locked division this season but it seems to have attracted the best M5 teams in the country so far so we only have limited spaces left in this format.
We will be considering snake side only coaching for this format.
M5 Championship.
This division has 20 teams competing in the standard M5 format. No coaching but the usual Millennium rules apply. This division will be semi-locked. This means the initial 18 teams that take the spots will have them for the season. If for any reason they drop out of a round then the spot will be offered as a wild card spot which is the new teams for the rest of the season. Or until the above happens. Winners of the division will be promoted to the Premier league div.
M5 Conference.
This will be our open, and entry level divisons. No comitment to the season long series is required, events can be played as a single event or the whole series as all scores go into the league table.
This division is an excellent place for new teams to come in at as well as the more casual teams.
Millennium rules apply with one change. This division will play with the rof cap at 10.5 bps, but in semi auto fire mode not the ramping.
Keep your eyes posted for updates and changes.
Feel free to discuss or ask any questions on the above points as we will happily elaborate on the above points.
