Paintball markers from the us

Hey,

I'm looking at buying a DP G4 from the U.S.A and getting it shipped over, however a friend has warned be about something called an 'F-stamp'

What would be the legal consequences of using a non F stamped marker (such as the Dangerous Power G4) be in the UK

Would I be able to use it in for example the UK masters without any problems?

I would really like to know peoples opinion on this a.s.a.p, i've tried to search google regarding any markers without an F-stamp within the UK but cannot find any.

Any advice appriciated, Thanks

you will be ok in the uk, the f stamp is only needed if your playing in germany

Why not support UK dealers? Just Paintball stock DP guns, give them a call, Im sure they would sort you out?

Its not the F stamp you should be worried about, its the customs taxes and extra charges.

I bought a 50cal spyder from the US and the customs charge was almost the same as the cost of the marker!

one of my mates just bought a dp G4 from the states, he was about $400 for shipping and the marker, and they gave him a free halo b with v35 chip for free so that was not bad. dont know if it was personally worth the money or not yet but its just as light as a luxe, shoots very nice, even at 30 bps

I agree with Bolter - support your countries own dealers. Yes they make a little money on the product but they aren't overpricing based on the US price, which is what some people think. They have higher importation costs. AND if you support them then they will in turn be able to support you and the series that you play. Try asking a US store for support or sponsorship.

Again I can vouch for Just Paintball. They have a very good links with DP.

I'm normally more than happy to support UK dealers, Searching online however i cannot find a single one which stocks the G4.

Looking at the reviews of the gun and how it looks I'm desperate to have one as well!

I'll give just paintball an e-mail to see if they can do anything but if its substantially more expensive; times are hard and the cheaper option is sometimes the only option, even if it does mean not supporting the UK retailers.

But then again the cheaper option isnt always cheaper due to import. Maybe if you said what your looking to spend people could point you in the right direction. From what ive heard from some poeple is that the DP markers arent the best you can get for the price.

I will say it again.

If you CALL Just paintball, they may be able to get one in for you.

If you buy from the states, expect to have no customer support, warranty will be worthless or limited, and of course the added import tax will make you feel warm inside.
