Holmbush Pump Day - 28th November

Hi guys,

Just a quick heads up for all you Pump owners in the South.

As you ‘should’ be aware we, Holmbush Paintball, did try to run 2 walk-on’s a month earlier in the year, with the second walk-on day specifically for pump gun games.

Well, after a bit of a think over the Autumn, we have decided to bring back the pump games in a different way to usual. It’s fairly costly to run a completely seperate day, not knowing how good the attendance will be, so we will be combining pump games in with our regular site days.

We will basically be mixing you in with the public players (50 – 50 split over 2 teams) over the next few months. Should we (or rather YOU) get to the point where we have 15+ pump players, then we will move the pump venue back to the top site.

First mixed event will be on Sun 28th November.

Price will be £25 which will include 1000 paintballs. You’ll also be limited to a hopper (200) balls per game, to keep it fair against the public. As you’ll be more skillfull and accurate this should not be a problem

As you will be ‘embassadors’ for walk-on paintballers, we would ask you to respect the public players and marshals during the games and in the basecamp.

Of course, you are always welcome to bring your pumps to our standard walk-on days every 1st Sunday of the month.

Thank god they are back! I can finally use the Azodin Pump I got shipped over! If anyone is considering going to these then DO! They are such good fun!!!

Quick update on the pump day front this coming Sunday !

In addition to the silly entry price (£25 includes full day, tea / coffee / air / 1000 paintballs / my company etc etc...) we are also about to make this a bit more appealing.

If you don't have your own pump gun OR have a mate or three who would quite like a laugh, we will be bringing down a box of cleaned and tested pump guns with us.

Rental for a Pump marker, air bottle and hopper will be completely FREE. So no excuse to not bring a friend !

If we can get close to our target of 15 pump players, we'll organise your own event aswell - extra marshalls - no extra cost !

So let's try and big up the pump scene again and next year we see where we can take it.

I believe it is mate, until they get 15 players or so going down on a regular basis I believe we are playing with the rentals.

Just to Clarify;

If there are between 0-11 of you on the day, then yes ... it does mean we will be mixing you in with a public game, as we simply can't justify opening the top site / hiring extra staff for the day.

If we get 12 or more of you on this one, then we'll at the very least get you out in a private game as the site is open anyway with a marshall.

If we start getting 15 or so on a regular basis, then I will open the top site get you all up there, unless numbers significantly drop again ofc. By regular, I mean at least an event or two, so we know there is enough interest to sustain another walk-on day.

I wouldn't worry about running stock class. Few pump regulars can be arsed to faff about with 12g, stick feeds or 10 shot tubes. My preferred (open class) set-up is a 48ci HPA tank and 200 shot hopper + a couple of 100 shot pots. Have a few spares to loan on the day if needed - drop me a PM.
