Cool digital magazine, interesting how I spotted a couple of different photogrophers ads pretty quickly. Also curious as to how the logic/rules and regs with reference to reprinting photos from people without permission. It mentions that you need permission from the photographer if the photograph is watermarked. So I'm assuming you'll print a photograph that is submitted as long as it's not watermarked, yet not verify the copyright or ownership of the photo?
Not having a major dig at all, I'm not that familiar with copyright issues, I just thought this was an interesting line and it surprised me.
Will definitely be saving a copy to have a proper gander at when I have the time.

Anyone can offer articles and photos...and have already been encouraged to do so.
It's a great UK Paintball Magazine and I hope it keeps going for years but remember it costs time and money so let photographers advertise, let retailers advertise, let manufacturers advertise its what helps provide you with something to read!
I am one of the photographers that have had images published in the magazine, I have not advertised nor intend to as I am happy to promote paintball and happy for them to be used with or without named credit. I have not watermarked the pictures as I am not worried about their use. Having donated them to the magazine and then seeing them published is reward enough. There are other photographers that put a lot of time, cost and effort into the work they do and have every right to promote themselves their images and to protect their living by water mark copyright etc...Cool digital magazine, interesting how I spotted a couple of different photogrophers ads pretty quickly. If I remember rightly Charter Photography are the only photographer to actually have an advert in the mag.
I think you misunderstood me gambo, I think it's great that it uses lots of reader submitted photos, promotes uk paintball/photographers etc. and people submit their photo's for free with credit or not.
What caught my attention was the line that read 'Watermarked pictures will require written authorisation from the photographer', which makes perfect sense but seemed to imply that if someone submits a non watermarked photo that isn't their own no verification about the copyright would be carried out as no permission is received? Perhaps I misinterpreting or reading to much into it, but I would have thought all photos would require permission to use unless it's known that their copyright had been released, watermark or not. Or is that not the case with online reproduction?
