hey!
i opened up my new ego and a smallish board was next to the battery with an insulating sheet behind it. there were also quite a few loose wires.
Its an 06 board in an 05 ego.

the previous owner said it might be the previous owners magna drive rf chip???

but i dont know. what is it?

yes buddy,

that looks to me like an RF daughter board, it is used to sync the gun with certain hoppers instead of using eyes or sound to activate the hopper

you should be able to remove it easily and shoot the gun as you would usually

it might be worth using if you have a hopper that comes with an rf chip, what hopper are you using?

i'm not sure if that has rf, i know that the b2 does

but if it is working fine using sound activation then stick with that

That is correct, but you can retro fit magna boards into halo/reloader shells.
