ok fair enough, but i reckon it should be a more traditional race to format like actual Xball. instead of a similar format to 7man, ie. best out of 3 if you get me

Format sounds fine to me - same as NSPL Div 2 has been running - and a gentle toe in for those of us used to trad 5man...

That's a real headache from an organisers point of view, you end up with a lot of dead time on the field - the way the NSPL & Yorkie run it is the same as the PSP (and also now Millennium) run race-to-2 and is very efficient in terms of scheduling, maximising the time available to the field for games and allowing more teams to compete.

Having played today - the scheduling worked fine. Really blinding day - friendly team, pretty good reffing and a few superb results for my lads. Chuffed to bits! The astro is plaing great now it's settled down and as long as you dnt't try to superman into the snake! Big thanks to Defiance for their support when we were left well short, and massive thanks to Kent from Custom PB for a free set of shirts for us all after we beat Shock 3!
Reffing was a good standard - some disputable calls, but there always are. Scott was approachable as head ref, and we had no issues - although one shock player had to be helped to collect all his toys off the field ;) Yorkie was an excellent host, and the other teams were all friendly and helpful.
A couple of small issues - the air station was a little small, and would need to be bigger when more teams are attending, and Yorkie really needs to persuade the Highways agency to get rid of the works on the M25.
