WTD: DDR2 or DDR3 Memory and possibly Socket AM3 processor for a budget build

For a mate who's on a tight budget, 2GB (2 x 1GB) might be acceptable for the right price but would prefer 4GB (2 x 2GB). Can only have 2 sticks max.

Would also entertain getting a socket AM3 processor if anyone has one.

I might be able to help out here dude got a virtually complete comp waiting to be broken up, not sure about the RAM but im sure its DDR2 probably 2gig also got a main board and a 939 processor together with a GeForce 6200 (i think) Graphics Card

OK dude ive got loads of bits HDD's, CD/DVD drives at least one other 939 processor, an old case which i think has stuff in it and i do believe ive even got a 17" LCD monitor somewhere! Ill post up a more comprehensive list later on

Ok i have:-
TerraTec Aureon 5.1 Fun PCI soundcard
GeForce 6200 256mb DDR2 AGP graphics card
Gigabyte GA-K8NS-939 mobo
2x 1gb PC3200 DDR memory (damn thought this was DDR2)
Processor i think its an Athlon 4000+
I have another Processor Athlon 3000+

also have 1 full emacine Semptron 3100+ processor
1x 1gb DDR + 1x 256 mb DDR ram
In case
No HDD but has what looks to be a DVD R/RW

This any use to anyone?
