Thanks guys

Thanks to everyone for the replies. Yes I am new to paintballing and have only played a couple of games so I am a newbie.

I'll start with the plugging my site thing. Yes every post on here has been plugging my site, I hadn't asked the owner of the site as I just thought my first post would be removed if administrators were unhappy but I have now tried to do the decent thing and have messaged them. I don't want to be banned from the site as I have found people on here to be a lot more talkative and informative and I will not post any new threads until I have had a reply from this. The main reason I am on here is to gather information for my site and to try to get help, obviously i'm not going to get it when I have upset people like I have and I do apologise to those I have upset.

The reason for writing the guide was that i'm trying to put useful articles on the blog. When I looked for info to help newbies I found that quite a few times forums or questions like "what's the best gun for a newbie" or the "best paintball's" would be answered with a hail of makes and models, only a few times were there more informative answers (I think to be honest most of the informative ones were on here). I had asked (admittedly on other forums and not on here) if anyone would let me use articles they had written but got no replies. So I decided to write my own from a mixture of what I thought was the best information then put it on here to find out if it was accurate or just a load of rubbish. I think from your replies it is the latter so I will edit it from your replies unless anyone has an article they would let me use (obv credit and links would be given). Again I do apologise for irritating anyone with my advertising I simply believe that my site is a good idea and that if I can get enough support from enthusiast from different sports that it will do really well and help other people like me.

Thanks for your time and if I do get banned thank you to everyone that has helped me.

Don't you need the adapter for the end of the barrel as well? (with the uv light in to charge them as they leave the marker)

the ones i got were a freebie with a hopper that had a uv light in (it was cheap on ebay) which charged the balls whilst they were in the hopper. trouble is theres not much point in them in the day... but they were fun in the dark.

What would you like to know about paintball?
There isn't really any one thing that I specifically want to know it is more that I want articles to post that would be useful to people like myself. This is people that haven't played the sport and want to know what its about or people that have only played a couple of times and are interested in getting into it but don't know how. Forums are great for specific questions but when you ask generalised questions you get so many different answers (and in some cases arguments occur during advice) sometimes you get a bit lost. I find that you have to really search for a full informative answer. e.g google "whats the best paintball gun" and you get loads of people telling you this certain gun or that one. Its a while before you get people saying "depends on the way you play" etc. So the idea is for example if someone asked a general question that was answered fully in an article on my site you could either direct them there or copy and paste it on here and my site would link to here and other forums for further advice. Does this make sense? So it would be kind of like a starting point.

Thing of it another way. If you wanted to say go go-karting, wouldn't you rather know there was one site you could start at to find the basics: nearest sites, advice on karts etc with links to other sites and information if you want to go more in depth rather than spending hours searching the net? If you guys can help me out with paintball, when I start going more in-depth in other areas this may help you?
