this was not aimed at you personally but to all that haven`t got it and the direction of being called stupid is being gentlemanly given to the masses that are also thinking to dodge , I`m thinking of my self and teams that mix it with those playing alongside / against us , It`s clear you have a brain but there are many that don`t saying to themselves , " well if it`s all right for him , It`s all right for me " and 2 x wrongs or more don`t make it right , OK I will say that a few issues have been brought up on this and I`m sure that they will be addressed.
like myself your not new to this sport and if i read you correctly your not a follower so lead by example......Bluey

totally agree with what gassy said
people put their own time and effort in to making paintball better, and the minority always have to moan about something
when are we as players going to stop pressing the self destruct button
whats next, players moaning about the fed members ,so they all decide sod this

p;s thanks to the few that have caused the withdrawl of this insurance it,s now going to cost me a hell of alot more to get the same cover:mad:

just a heads up guys
to get a similar policy you are looking at £60 + for the same cover
before anybody starts saying they can get it cheaper and i have a policy that covers me
my better half works for one of the largest insurance brokers in the country
plus i get discount on that
now don,t we all feel a bit silly arguing over £15:eek:

Steve I really hope you will change you mind on stopping the scheme as many more people support what you do for paintball than question it.
As Gassy has said i seriously hope that this doesn't stop as this was one of the first things i got when i started playing:(

I have been in paintball for over 20 looooong years, and in that time, I have met many characters; Steve Bull is one of the few people in our sport who I would state is 100% honest, 100% committed to our sport and 100% devoted to doing what's best for our player base;and that means rec players, scenario, walk-ons and tournament guys.

Steve Bull is the best thing this country has ever served up in terms of somebody working tirelessly behind the scenes for NO reward other than knowing he has done a good job.

It makes me sick to think some of the people who have moaned on here regarding Steve's responsibilities have in some way affected him, and affected him to a point whereby he has withdrawn his insurance work.

I know Steve quite well, and I also know he must be feeling terrible inside at what he probably feels is a complete betrayal of people's trust in him by a select few ... and for what?
15 quid a year??

You gotta be kiddin' me !!!

I have been in Steve's position many a time with attacks coming from every which way and it's a daunting position to find yourself in but in the end, when friends begin to circle around you in an attempt to defend you or your position, you are reminded by those friends, it is always an extremely small minority who are behind such attacks.

They are people who sit behind keyboards because they have no life outside of that virtual world and they feel emboldened by the separation; I have witnessed several types that fit this description and they range from overweight masseurs all the way down to office working wannabees ... the common denominator seems to be that of some sort of deficiency in their psychological profile whereby they feel rejected or life has dealt them a cruel hand ... whatever the reason for the way they act, it matters not .... what matters to me, and what should matter to the UK player base at large is, we are in danger of losing one of our best men here .... and to what???

Anybody who has posted doubts that either directly or indeed indirectly, involve Steve Bull should take a long hard look at themselves and if any of them have achieved 1000th of what that man has, then, and only then, you might be able to question him.

But alas, none in this thread will ever get near what Steve has done for us, not even close.
I hope those people responsible for this reaction from Steve are satisfied, maybe it's better they found another sport to infect ... I think it's time for them to leave us and maybe, just maybe, Steve might reconsider, let's all hope so.

to be honest im quite annoyed it has come to this,, i for one would like insurance as i no my boss wont want to pay my wages if i get injured playing ball, which for them who no me is quite possible the way i jump around! £ 15 pound a year is nothing, literally two packet of fags, i am a gas engineer and £15 quid doesnt even cover your boiler for a month these days let alone a year, and bully the fact that you take nothing out of ukpsf is a credit to your self! as i wouldnt be grudge you if you did charge a couple of quid for sorting this out for players in the uk, i dont understand how people can be against it!! would u let your child or family member go in a un insured car?? its the same principal!

So well done - small minority ruin it for the majority
Should an accident happen and no insurance be in place just see how fast insurance and public liability will be compulsory to own and purchase a paintball marker. Once it is compulsory then you are at the mercy of the insurance brokers, so a price hike from £15 to £100 a year is guaranteed.
Why on earth people could not have done the sensible thing and contact the UKPSF for more info beggars belief.
Paintball unity also takes a huge step backwards as SupAir loses Woodland/Scenario player the cover that they agree is essential and gladly pay for. Considering that they possibly out number SupAir players by 10 to 1 and their take up of UKPSF membership is probably over 50x that of SupAir.
I wonder who is going to be happiest - I know this will seriously affect forthcoming plans.

what robbo said and some:)
just a thought if the players are not members of the ukpsf
and something similar happens over here ,that happened in Germany who is going to stand up for us
not bully why should he we,re not members:eek:
he has done in the past ,after the like,s of dunblane when the government as tightened the gun laws
whoops nobody knew that
know i,ll let the cat out of the bag i have worked for bully for 12yrs
we have had our differances but i can say that this man as done more for paintball in the uk than
robbo
ledz
jimmy frensham etc etc
the list may be endless but i can put hand on heart and say that all the names mentioned would agree
we as players do not know what bully as done for us ,and i,m afraid we might have killed the goose that laid the golden egg
so we need to go cap in hand to this man and pray he reconciders
another idea we have gwc shirt why not ukpsf shirts
be proud we are british and support what bully does:first:
