If you play in the woods a spool valve such as DMs and PMRs would be good as they are generally more quiet. The guys on here are very knowledgeable and are very helpful.

A guy called Mike from TechPB does a couple of good videos for new players

Helped me alot:)

This show he did on the order to generally buy equipment

With playing in the woods, games are longer, air efficency comes into question.

Long walks back to get more air etc. With mechanical base markers you get very poor air efficency.

You should consider something a little more upbeat, for example a tourny style marker. I realise you want the military bling, but remember, paintballs dont fire staight, sights just dont work.

With adding flashlights, lazers etc - I had the pleasure of being part of the uks first night game just over a week ago. Anyone with a torch had 100 paintballs fly at him and the dude with the lazers was a walking target.

If you want performance of a tourny gun but with milsimness to add things too we run macdev tactical drones, very efficent, macdev as anyone will tell you are top notch.

What games are you planning on going too???

Ok mate. Let's see if I can help you out.

You want to be able to upgrade the looks of the Marker, yes? However, you're going to want to be able to have decent air efficiency so you dont have to be filling up your air tank all the time so look at the tm7 or tm15. They're electronic so are more air efficient and have picatinny rails for upgrades. Alternatively, look at a second Hand sp1. They are also electronic but have rails for upgrades including sights.

Hoppers. None of the markers I have listed come with hoppers. However, if you want a hopper which you can still aim down the sights with, you need to look at tippmann markers (careful, they have bad air efficiency) or the bt ripclip. The bt ripclip only fits on bt markers though so watch that too.

The sp1 is centre feed I think and so will be a pain to look down a sight with unless you get a 45 degree rail adaptor. Again though, paintballs don't fire straight so any sight, lasers or torches are pointless except for looks.
