=( i only just bought myself a super 7 a little while back, decided not to get a l96 because i was being cheap. But this is a really nice gun to shoot and hold. Would reccomend to anyone

Um nope? Wait... So I can play airsoft... Just not own my own gun?

All I've found online is that I have to be 18 to buy one, although I can use one that has been brought for me with supervision of someone over 18 years of age.

So, aslong as it fires 6mm bb's, I should be fine.

Also, because it's two-toned I don't need a licence or equivilent to own it.

Fine for your dad to give it to you as a gift but if you can't prove you didn't fron the money for it then it's illegal. Basically giving someone over 18 the money to buy it for you is still circumventing the law.
