My ex mum-in-law fostered an awful lot of children and I have nothing but respect and admiration for people who look after kids, some of whom are in dire need of some basic love and caring .... you just earned yerself a lifetime platinum membership Buff ... keep up the good work mate!!
thanks robbo, we try our best. i've found paintball a real help with the teenage lads, the 16 year old we have now plays for apoc with me, the game is a great leveler.

we have been doing it for nearly four and a half years. some good kids, some real messed up... the common factor in most of them is there upbringing. whether good or bad.

everyone be nice to there kids, or they may end up at my house!!

My ex mum in law used to foster babies and toddlers, and it would break your heart to be told of the circumstances that befell these poor souls before arriving at her house.

She ended up adopting three of these foster kids and gave them a stable and loving environment in which to grow up ..... she's a true saint !!!

we've had a few mother and baby placements, but decided for our own sanity not to have really little ones due to the attachment issues that we would definatly have.

over 30 youngsters through our doors in that time. its very rewarding when they get to go home (if thats the best place for them)
some of the stuff these kids go through is plain crackers. its the ones who come through it and turn out ok that amaze me.

last year we went to an awards ceremony where 9 kids who had been in our care at some point got awards from their local authority, it was amazing to see those youngsters coming out the other side and becoming well rounded individuals. very very humbling for us.

Just to echo what Robbo has said, you sir are a top man.

I teach in an SEBD school so spend my days with kids whos upbringingS have dramitcally effected how they view themselves and others, working with these youngsters is a fantastically rewarding career, especially since most of society has given up on them.

Buff I don my e-hat to you.

I've ran away from home 5 times.

Been in a suicidal situation.

Been hooked on drugs that I wish I hadn't.

... And then found paintball
Which gave me a 'goal' in life
Which I'm thankful for.
