Hi guys,

I've got standard blue loctite which I use on macro line fittings etc. but I'm replacing a mates fill nipple and just wanted to check if standard medium strength blue would be ok? Was trying to find some green stuff but nowhere in Norwich sells it:confused: If blue is fine I'll just use that.

Cheers,

Charlie

PTFE is fine for the fill nipple/burst covers.

Loctite 242 (red) is recommended for reg-to-bottle connection.

Halfords do a small range. In fact, most car spares places should be able to sort you out.

Bit of info - potential free stuff with a choice of Loctite 243 or Loctite 270

http://www.loctitesolutions.com/index.php?FOLDERID=18725

I believe Loctitite 243 is the standard used in paintball for fill nipples etc (Blue), and 270 is a high strength and needs heat to be removed (but its 'green' loctite not 'red')

As a free sample I don't expect to get much, but we don't tend to need much.

By the way the questionairre was not working for me yesterday but did today, so bear with it.

Carefull with the loctite on the reg-to-bottle thread, I've seen lot of dead air system because it couldn't be opened for pressure test when needed.
