Paint is not just good brand vs bad brand, storage and age can have a major impact on performance, I have used formula 13 dozens of times from a mix of well known suppliers and it has always been good. I have used those suppliers because I know they look after their paint.

However I have also used top of the range paintballs from various brands that because it was not stored properly was terrible.

Totaly agree.

The best paint to get is the paint you can afford.

I disagree with that statement. The best paint to get is the paint you would like to be shot at yourself.

+1 on this.

Every box of proto I have had has never had dimples and always fly straight.

The boxes it comes in seem to be much stronger and thicker than other brands. They put bubble wrap in the bottom and top of the box. I have bought this at different times of the year and havn't got a bad batch yet.
Cor round 1 NSPL Proto felt like the shell was an inch thick, they were like bullets and refused to break on anything, that how we came around to using dark sports.

Dark sports has always been good for me. We use alot of it at scenario games >30 cases a game. Always good stuff. Different grades depending on budget and what you are after.

Used a Box of proto the day before yesterday, shot like liquid gold, broke on everything apart from in my gun, DM9 so same paint range as A1.

I unfortunately was shot a couple of times with some Dark sports and Forumla 13, that day something was up with those paints, they were bouncing off me left right and centre...

If you really want to tell the quality of the manufacturer use a reasonable grade ball, not there field or rec ball paint but you dont have to go all the way to the top of the price range...
