HP vs LP for Ego 6

Following on from Echowitch who asked about putting a HP or LP reg with a Geo, just wondering if it's the same with an Ego 6 - looking for a good tank and just wondering if I could use a LP tank with it, as I could get one much cheaper than a HP one.

would have thought the tanks would be at least similar in price

do you mean a 3k tank as opposed to a 4.5k tank ?

Is the difference only a shootdown difference and possibly reg part wear:

Does an LP tank shootdown easier than an HP one?

Does an HP tank wear out inline reg parts faster than a LP one?

LP will shoot down on one of the older egos, and ive never heard of a reg wearing out due to air
