I'm thinking about buying a second hand EGO 05 to start playing paintball.
Do you think that it is a good marker?
Is it accurate?
Is it easy to mantain?
Is it adequate to play in the woods and/or rookie tournaments?

Thank you.

its an ego, and their hasn't been a bad one.

accuracy and paintball don't really go hand in hand, but it will 100's time better than site guns

easy to maintain, just pull a pin up and pull out the bolt and the chamber is clear

its more than adequate for woodsball and any tournament

have to agree with baller

they are famominal starter guns, i shoot an ego both in tourneys and in the woods, in fact i wish i would heve got one as my starter gun:rolleyes:

as long as you keep it clean and no scratches in the barrel it will be just as accurate as any other high end gun (matter of oppinion please don't bite my head of abou the ongoing dispute over accuracy:p)

there may be a small problem finding parts if it goes wrong but that comes with any previous year gun, and eclipse tend to use the same parts throughout most of their guns.

hope this helps

The 05 is a great gun - but getting harder to find parts for. Just make sure you get one that's been properly maintained. I've seen a few that have been serviced, upgraded and 'tuned' by knuckledraggers, whose tool kit consisted of a hammer and a set of molegrips

Find a good 'un and it'll shoot paint faster than you can earn money to pay for it
