Alex - the Angel 1 is very easy to maintain, with either the stock or Magno internals. I've had mine for 3 years and the extent of the maintenance has been to clean it after each days play, put a couple of drops of oil in the asa and dry fire it to lube the internals.

Most common fault with the A1 is bolt stick due to lifting breech seals (eventually the adhesive holding them in place goes gloopy and they peel away), takes a couple of minutes to replace. Replacing the ball detents can be fiddly if the marker has the 1-piece eye covers. It's very easy with the newer 3 piece ones.

The only task I'd rate as being difficult is setting the LPR output, which requires a special gauge and some disassembly of the marker, but that's a one-off task which a decent dealer such as LiPS will be able to do for you, after which you should never need to adjust again.

An A1 with a stock inline reg would be better with a LP tank, some work with HP, some don't (they work, it's just impossible to chrono below 300fps).

Another option is to replace the stock inline reg with a CP reg adapter and aftermarket inline, I use a shorty CP reg on mine (pic: http://www.chimpy.com/paintball/a1_1.jpg ) and run a HP Ninja tank with no problems. Again LiPs can provide the bits you need.

The A1 Fly comes with a different reg setup and works better with HP, although some people have reported problems getting the fps below 300 once they installed a Boost bolt.

oldham - lancs
...or get an Angel AIR (the output is variable). Best of both worlds - but bloody heavy and hard to find now (even though I have 3 of the wee beasties!).
