How to switch a pm8 on/off?

Hey guys I got a great deal on one of the new ul on/off's this weekend and want to put it on my pm8. Before I do something silly how do I remove the ASA that is already on the marker?

Read the manual mate it will be in there

Open the grip, you will see some screws in the bottom.
Unscew them, and take the on/off away, put the new one on and screw back in.

I promise that was my first port of call, but from what I can see there is nothing about disconnecting the on/off and having no need to do it before...
