My experience was that I ran a site that had both.
I went up there to the Airsoft side once, to collect some rent, and was offered a game. The gear was sweet, and they loaded me up with hardware. We were playing on fields I had played and reffed many times, so when I played, I ran up the middle, got myself behind a big beech tree, and shot them all out, quickly.

I was told after the game that I had cheated. I was amused, because no-one shot me, they barely even shot AT me. But I soon learned that I was cheating by not taking the game seriously enough. They said 'You would never do that in combat'

I would argue that it was a pretty good idea, as they all died, and I didn't.
