Is it possible...

Been watching too many random movies and i always wondered is it possible to use a paintball air tank as an air supply like a scuba tank? Since scuba tanks can last for hours i though maybe a 1.1 litre could work for a couple of minutes, any light on the subject?

A steely maybe (it would need testing, I'm sure the test for bottles on ground and for use under water is different) but I'm not sure how the pressure would effect a fibre wrap.

Pony bottle. They're smaller tanks that are kept seperate from a diver's main cylinder, for use in emergency situation (ie: HONOES, I'M OUT OF AIR).

They're probably a little bigger than a paintball tank, but it's the same concept.

The pressure underwater is higher.
So the pressure difference on the bottle walls will be lower.

Sure it's possible. As long as you (can) attach the correct regulator and other fittings.
