Hi all
Im in the process of buying my paintball gear and would like the idea of joining a team or starting one up around my area so i have a couple of questions

1. Are there any teams around this area already?
2. Where around this area can the team play? or where do you already play?
3. Does it cost anything to play/train? apart from paintballs and site rental?

Cheers

Hey,
I know its a late reply but I am looking to start a Hull team up.

Im looking to put a paintball team together with people in and around Hull. NO MATTER WHAT YOUR EXPERIENCE IS! Old hands and new comers are all welcome.

BRIEF

The team would enter a minimum of 10 walk on sessions through out the year and practice at least once a month. Then during 2011 we would look at entering the Fusion 3 series based at York Paintball centre.

EQUIPMENT

OK the only draw back for new comers to the sport would be the need to have your own gear but we can give you advice and guidance to what and where to find some great offers.

The gear needed as a minimum is:
- A marker with loader etc
- Mask/goggles

Just a quick note, you can get a basic set up for less then £150! or even £100 second-hand.

There are loads of other bits and bobs but once we have the team together we can sort everything else out. The main at the moment is to get equipped and practising.

PRACTICE SESSIONS

We already have the support from a local paintball field (Woola Ball), to provide us with great priced practice field.
The practice sessions would be set to enable all team members to attend, this could mean night sessions or weekend sessions. It would be in the best interest to practice at least once a month but of course the more the better.

WALK ON

York Paintball Centre has 10 walkon sessions a year and it could be a good direction for the team to practice. Walkon sessions are where you take your own gear and play at a field, normally as a team against other walkon's.

FUSION 3

YPC also has a SupAir style set of games held during the year called Fusion 3. As the name hints it is a 3 man event but all we do then is split the team down and enter how ever many teams we have.

OTHER EVENTS

They are loads more events we can attend and also a chance of sponsorship if we stick at it, so why not get stuck in and party with the paint.

Contact me if you are interested and we can get this team going!

i never got round to sorting this out due to my partner getting pregnant and us having a baby son, anyways he is now 9 weeks old and i think its time for me to get my gear together and join a team, so wondering if there are any teams in my area that are looking at recruiting?
