Hey guys

I have a DM7 up for sale, i posted up on my own thread last night saying something along the lines that i was 'accepting offers now ' . but for some reason it had been deleted , and i had a nice little message saying 'no bumping read the rules'

http://www.p8ntballer-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?133929-Ironmen-Nu-skwl-DM7&p=1343458&highlight=#post1343458

Well i did re-read the rules and found this :

Rule 7. There is no need to keep your thread at the top of the page. When people go looking for used gear, they will browse more than just the latest threads. If after a number of days you have had no responses, it just means people are not interested in the item at this point in time. However, if something changes in the details of what you are selling, such as for instance a price drop, it is perfectly alright to add to the thread.
This includes "you have a pm" or "you have mail"

I think that stating that 'i am accepting offers' is a change in the details of the sale am i right in thinking this ?

Thanks for looking guys :D

i deleted it because it was a blatant bump.

You had already stated you were open to offers in your 1st post had you not ?

So

Quote "Come on guys offer up dont be shy !?!?!" which was what you actually posted,NOT Quote"accepting offers now"

adds nothing to your original post or any update of information other than to bump it back up onto the 1st page.If you had not had open to offers in your 1st post then you would be adding information and it would have not broken the rules.

I edited my first post, originaly it said that i wanted around £400 but then changed it , to include offer up dont be shy

Would that class as changing the details ?

Sorry to be a pain i just want to know for the future.

You edited the offer bit into your 1st post

Then decided to tell everyone you had done it on

which is another way of bumping your thread.

If you had edited it in and then posted straight away it may not have looked so blatant but to wait untill the next day when your thread was dropping down the listings..................see what I mean.
