The stock barrel isn't all that and most people upgrade. If its anything like my Mini barrel it had lots of unpolished areas on the inside of the bore which is bound to effect accuracy. I use the barrel off of my DM9 which has the same thread and that works a treat.

Lots of people on here sware by the unitec which is £30 and can be bought from warped.http://www.paintball-equipment-online.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=523

You need an Autockcocker thread on the Mini.

Stock are ok. But a upgrade would be a stiffi or a nitestick. I've always used a nite stick and loved it. Have a look at a invert nitestick.

I dont really understand the theory behind the barrel, surely its just a cyclinder which the ball rolls through, other than length how can they vary :S

Lots of thing can affect the quality of the barrel which then affects performance.
As an earlier poster says parts of the barrel are unpolished, these unpolished parts can "grip" the balls or cause traction on the way out leading to inconistency to start with.
A good ball-->barrel match can be essential, hence most people have a kit or a few barrels.
Un1tec's as mentioned are hugely popular ahd very cheap,a full set (1 back,3 fronts) could cost in the region of £30.oo.
Never got on with any of the fibre ones myself, didn't see a hell of a lot of difference if any for the high prices...:D

You are correct IMO. A barrel is a barrel is a barrel. The biggest factor to affect accuracy is yourself, so a new barrel should be based on weight (if it bothers you) and the length because different lengths do favour different people.

Im not convinced with the barrel kits, that have different size bores either. Ive bought one before, and just ended up using the .691 all the time.
