Steel 3000psi test question

Been give a 3000psi steel bottle and my bro wants to use it for the big game. The date stamped on the bottle is 2006/11 is this valid - Like is it 5 years like a carbon fibre wrapped one is it 5 for a steel one

Yeah it's 5 years on Steelys aswell mate.

I think you can re-test steely's but considering they are inexpensive to buy new (£45.00 ish) it's not really worth it.

Yeah that what i told hi, but thought id check maybe on the look out for a cheap fibre wrap soon then and just get him to retest that as it will be better in the long run

Rich, take it to the dive shop that i use, he will test it there for you.

Ok will do. I'll be makin a trip there anyway as my dive tank is out of test now to.
