Question !

Guys,
I'm not that really up in things 'gadgety' hence this query; I wonder if any of you techy-heads out there can point me in the right direction toward a good video camera, one of those small hand-held types.

All I want it for is for doing things like interviews and maybe videoing the odd game or two and so I want a good quality product but obviously I ain't looking for something that's gonna cost the earth..

I spose 250 is about the maximum I wanna buy.

And so, if any of you could please recommend a suitable video camera that could do the job, then I'd be extremely grateful.

if you look closely at the spec it says the image quality is 0.41 mp ( plus it only has ADVANCED OPTICAL ZOOM which is basically a digital zoom, thus producing poor quality imaging where as a manual zoom lense is what yu are looking for, digital zooms fill in the pixels as it blows the object up, manual zoom uses the lens to zoom in hence keepig the same amount of real pixels per inch) which i wouldn't trust to be of any good quality, ideally you should have a look down your local electronics store and see if you can test a few to check the image quality, then search the net for a good price. i'll have a look and an ask at my end and see if anyone has had any experience with anything on the market at the moment.

No need to spend that much. I have been using my zi8 a fair bit recently for various things. Much cheaper, good quality, easy to carry(fits easily into a large pocket) and easy to plug into the computer to either edit or post straight on to youtube. Option for external mic and interchangeable memory

Chosen as it is similar to the camcorder that took the video @ CPPS and that looked rather good
