WTD: AGP Graphics card

How many beeps when you boot up? If it posts at all.

I have bits lying around if you can tell me how many beeps it is :)
Story of woe I am afraid.

I was suffering blue screen of death every now and again so decided to start with a fresh install of XP.

Got so far after setting up raid & starting install and the pc would shut down and not boot up again unless left for at least 10 minutes.

This lead me to believe it was an overheating issue so watched the cpu temp rise to excessive levels before it decided to auto shutdown. Also noted +5 volts to ram was dropping as low as 4 volts.

So I then decided I would remove the heatsink from the cpu, re-compond it and stick it back together. I took the liberty of removing the watercooling kit from the graphics processor and northbridge chip on the motherboard at the same time and replacing them with the stock fan / heatsink

It was then that I noticed sticky residue around the AGP slot that looked like a long term minor leak from the water block:( Wiped this off and re-assembled.

It now switches on with no beeps (no pc speaker) all lights come on and fans / hardrives kick in but no output to the monitor. The power supply was tested and found to be ok yesterday.

Common sense tells me it's fubar'd but I cannot afford another one at present:eek:

I've got a 5200 under my bed, pretty sure that was AGP, not really after much for it, in fact would be more interested in some headgear as I have none!!!
