Ok, ok, I know - the big game hasn't even started yet!! But still - I'm just about to leave the house and I hope that by the time I come back there should be a thread worthy of that title!!

Ohhh.....went to sleep at midnight last night, so excited I couldn't sleep, up at 4am to make sure I had all of my gear ready to go - for a 6:30am departure time!! :rolleyes:

I know I've forgotten something! - But what??!! :eek:

Ahh - food!! Can't forget that!! Well....gotta dash - I'll try to have a full update on the game when I arrive home!!!

Ohhhhhhh I can't wait - Can I just say "I hope your ready South Army - cos you guys are gonna have no idea what ripped you up by the end of today!!" :D :p He he he!!!

(Oh dear - I've just dropped myself in it if the North loses now!! :eek: )

This has to be 1 of the worst **** games i have ever played in my LIFE!! it was crap, so un orginized, just go out and shoot each other, the feking north team cheated at the start with the mercenerys!!!!!

Cowface,m8 were we at the same NvS? ,I mean with 640 players on site what did you expect? a 100 acre supair field and 15 min. games?

This was the biggest game in Europe and yes there were problems but it still went well,its only a game m8 ,will you go next year?:)

Oh bye the way I don`t think permboys balls have dropped!:D

well i must admit that the three of us that travelled down from edinburgh on sunday morning ( 1 am departure ) had an absolutely fantastic time. Yes there were things that could have been better, the huge skirmish line that the game evolved into towards the end only halped ZAP paint ! :)
Trying to make the centre bunkers was too much. I counted all the welts and in the last 20 mins running to the centre bunker got me 8 shots!!
The amount of paint going overhead was amazing though. Whilst writhing in the mud in pain in the bunker the air above was literally hissing with paint. So much so that i lay there for 5mins before venturing back out the hole to get back to base!!
The most annoying thing the whole day though was the fact that so many people didn't seem to realise that if u had your marker in the air and no armband then you were NOT a valid target. This included the UN force :mad:
All in all though a great day and one that we will be doing the 600 mile trip for next year :D


The one thing that i did think was missing was the on field and random chrono. I did not see a single person getthis done to them all day. The game did turn into a trading of shots and it was evident that whilst some peoples shots were just about carrying the distance others were going past at warp speed. Having had very strict instructions about the 300fps in the orders it was a shame that from what i saw not a huge amount seemed to be done to enforce this.

Dont worry dude....nukes smewks with 250 back players they were never gonna break through:D :rolleyes: :D :rolleyes:

up near the trenches on the right side of the field i experienced the wall of back players first hand the south charged (shooting straight and running not easy) the north upped and ran back me my mate and brother shouting hold positions cos the south had become moving targets but this must have got to much for my bro and mate cos when i turned to round they had gone...back pah!!! leaving me on my own :eek:
