This might be a bit untrendy and old hat to alot of current players.
Are there any woodland tournaments planned for 09 in the south east?
And if not,then why not?
During the difficult economic climate perhaps a format that gives value for money for the people taking part and that is not difficult/expensive for site owners to facilitate might be a way of drumming up business.
Blimey it was'nt that long ago that there used to be a woodland league or 3 with semi pro sponsored teams! Obviously woodland tournaments/leagues of that scale may sadly be a thing of the past now in the UK.
But with the large amount of walk on players about now it seems a bit nuts they dont get together for a competition or two in the enviroment where they commonly play their rec ball.
Scenario playing is one thing. But the woodland tourney is entirely another.
Surely there must still be teams either existing or scratch teams that are interested in geting out into the woods for a good craic and some healthy, fun competition?
I dare say there may now be a generation of players who's only sojourn into the woodland was as a punter when they first got into paintball.
Putting a tournament slant on woodland play again might get folks interested
in trying it out.
I've ben scooting around trying to find one but so far the only woodland tourneys i can find are
Ionman (North)
No battle pak series (north)
Genesis woodland tourney series (north)
Is the SE now devoid of players of woodland tournament paintball ?
I am interested in how many players/teams in the SE/S/midlands would be interested in taking part in say a 3,5 or 7 man woodland tournament or possibly a series of tourneys and what type of format would be most popular.
You thoughts and are greatfully appreciated.
Cheers
Chris
