Wipers Suck.

Man I hate all of those damn kids who act like they're all that because when they manage to stay in the whole game it's from hiding in the rearmost bunkers where no one can even see what they're doing. If they do get hit, they wipe. Now that just pisses me off. I saw a team mate on a walk-on wipe a hit when he was playing ahead of me. I saw it clearly from where I was that he got hit, but I guess the other team didn't notice. Call me stupid, but I shot him in the back and told him to get the hell off the feild. Paintball dosen't need jack-whipes like that to worsen the name of paintball. I'm getting sick of reading/hearing about wipers, so I thought I'd share how I deal with them. No bull, that's what I really do/did.
What's your opinion on the matter?

I find when I'm marshalling, the best thing to do if I see someone wipe is to run over to them and shout "Stop shooting" in a very loud voice. This tends to get everyones attention. Then I make the wiper stand up and shout to the opposing team that the wiper is wasting their money. Then shout "What do you all think about that?" and stand back. It usually takes 1-2secs for the other team get the idea and light the wiper up like a Christmas tree. No-one else wipes after that

last time we had a group (its never just one wipers have lots of wiper frends) of wipers at the place i play after about there fifth offence we told them to never come back. plus every time we caught them wiping we did some thing different to them sitting them out games, sending a couple of bunker monkeys out on a mission to bonus ball some cheatin wipers, kicking them out for the day,

I'm not into humiliation, becasue that doesn't stop them. "Who cares, dude, I've got the flag." I reassure myself that ina year, they'll stop playing becasue they're bored.

In the short term, however, I find that social presure works best. Make a sort of broad announcement as a player of "I saw someone wipe a hit. I see it again, I will overshoot EVERYONE until I'm satisfied they're leaving the field." Really hammers the point home when I start to hammer wiht a semi too. Seems to work on a self-preservation mode. "Dude, if he thinks I'm cheating becasue of you, and I get lit up, I'm gonna kick your ass."

That or I just casually mention that I'm gonna start the pain shots. "He can wipe it if he can, becasue I'm going for the crotch or his throat. Depends what I can take him down with." Works best if they realise that you can put paint anywhere with impunity.

Wipers are the scum of the universe!

Now I'm a poor student so every painball counts with me! If I eva see someone wipe (even if they are on my team) I light them up real bad!
Had this guy the other day who jumped into the bunker with me and wiped straight in front of me, needless to say he got the message pretty quick when I turned around!

I helped marshall a tournie yesterday and saw a player take a hit on his hopper, I am 100% certain that he tried to wipe but he missed the paint, i took his armband and sent him to the dead zone, if he'd have managed the wipe I'd have pulled his band taken him to his team captain and pulled His arm band and then told him why. Marshalling a tournie is hard enough without wipers.

Saying that the same player pulled an absolutely perfect dead mans walk in a later game. Know I don't like DMW but its within the rules we were using so their back right spot gets hit on the head and walks, he was replaced and the next guy takes a hit on the head curses and walks, the He is replaced, the new back right player takes a couple of shots wits for some paint to come in sits for a second stands up and walks over towards the dead zone. he stands to one side of the zone I go over to take his band and he says "I'm not dead" I check him and he's clean.
So the other team get the flag grab and as he's walking off bang this player shoots him in the back and the argument starts (doesn't stop him hanging the flag though)
