The NPPL and Pure Promotions are pleased to announce they have signed Will "Rocks" Arroyo back on as a commentator of the Super 7 World Series for the 2005 season.
When the industry looks back at the inaugural season of the NPPL Super 7 World Series (2003) many amazing things come to mind. Fresh concepts of catering to the athletes, promoting event sponsors, setting up in professional venues and offering huge cash prizes are just a few. What else changed? Ah yes, creating an entertaining environment for the spectators. And who played a more important role in this "spectator friendly" atmosphere than the one and only, Will Arroyo.
Arroyo, known for his playing style on the field, outgoing personality off the field and extremely thick Brooklyn accent, began commentating from the Super 7 Center Court tower in 2003. Coupled with Matty Marshal (Pro athlete on team XSV) the two would take to the microphones and give "colorful" commentating by having fun with the crowd, as well as explaining the game to those new to the sport.
Bart Walkerdine, Director of Pure Promotions, has always felt that Arroyo is a good match for the Super 7. "We've really missed him, every one has missed him. We're very excited to bring in his knowledge of the game, his enthusiasm and his happiness back to the NPPL Super 7 World Series, where he belongs."
In 2005 Arroyo will be working with the very professional Artie Edmonds. Edmonds is an experienced professional with thousands of credits to his name. He now has extensive experience in paintball having worked with the NPPL Super 7 World Series for over a year by tower commentating at events, hosting the 2004 DVDs as well as the 2005 Fox Sports Series of the Super 7 with Rocky Cagnoni. Walkerdine feels that "Edmonds' quality of work and professionalism along with Arroyo's fun style and expertise in the game will make this duo a great team."
Arroyo will be doing some on camera work as well so be sure to check him out on the 2005 DVDs and the 2006 Fox Sports Series.
