Why you pimp your marker.....

Most of us here have went through at least the first 3 stages of paintball

Stage 1 = Play paintball
Stage 2 = Buy a marker
Stage 3 = Pimp your marker to show your own unique style to the world

Looking through the photo's it seems we have 2 different types of genre to your style
1 = Cammed up and millitary (like mine)
2 = Bright coloured and somewhat bueatiful

Do you all think this is due to your liking for either woodsball / speedball??
Or maybe for some other reason

As is my thread I guess I should say.... LOL

As a ex squaddie I am trained to cam up and hide. And as a ex weapons specialist, I love millitary weapons.

So I enjoy the millitary form to a weapon.

Yet as a (not yet played, but want to) lover of speedball, I totally understand having the luxury of having a very shiny marker.

But the reason I'm asking is to try to find out why we choose the style for our marker. And how the way we feel about it changes our approach to the final design

Dont see any reason to pimp a marker prefer a nice looking stock gun
and personaly think most peoples efforts look worse than the gun in its original form

I personally think a lot of it is down to a lot of peoples 'need' to be individual,or to stand out from the crowd , i play woodsball,but use a tourney marker purely because after time you find the tourneys are a lot lighter and easier to draa round with you all day , so i play in camo, and my marker is black to be a bit more subtle,but even in woodsball we have lads playing with bright shiny guns, and bright speedball outfits, and as i say i think its purely to be different,
I do agree with game,some factory markers look superb as standard , and do not need changing,but again a lot of peopls need to be individual,or stand out makes them alter its appearance in some way , just my 2 pence

I am loving the different comments. And it seems we have a split between indiviguality and wanting to keep the gun how it was when you brought it, because you brought it for those very looks
