Why only 140?

Ok all I'm really board, and while I was marshalling 2day I was thinking how come 140 pots are only 140 and not 150?

Was just wondering why 140 was chosen.......over other size pots

well i have proven that planet 140 shot pots are actually 150's

Now I've never being that board to count how many balls I could fit in a pot

nah its simple intelligence....

a mate has a fay boy pot, and pours it into my planet pot...there is space for 10 more balls..happens lots so therefore either fat boys hold 130, or planet are 150

The planet pots were originally designed to hold 140 shots, but over the years the paint has decreased in size. So it it possible you can now get more paint into the pots.

It is quite possible to get a lot more in but, it can get a bit messy.

i always find it doesnt happen....i close the lid and cringe...and its all fine, and then the lid is proper spring loaded so if u even touch it, it flips open, which is bad if its in an x loop, but i carry 9 pots anyway
