Well not exactly everyone...

What is with people within a team, or generally whenever someone tries to organise something that people are so indecisive....

For example....
QUESTION... Do you want to play xxxxxxx tournament on such and such a date?
ANSWER... Er umm don't know, maybe, not sure, etc.

What is the problem if you cant or don't want to, say NO stop arsing around.
If you cant afford it say NO.

Don't 3 days or the night before a tourney come up with the lame excuse cant afford it especially when you've had 2-3 months notice.

It annoys people...Big time.
Anyway enough said.

Anyone else have this problem, if you do what are your views on the matter.

By the way this hasn't actually happened....yet.

Welcome to the joys of team captaincy! I did the job for a few years ages ago, and I'm sooo happy I'm not anymore.

Of course, sometimes people have to pull out at the last moment for a very good reason such as illness or losing their job & having no money, but the usual reason is that something "better" has come up (tell me what's better than playing in a tourney!) which is inexcusable.

The worst is trying to arrange a punter day. You get about 50 people all asking you to arrange it, then by the time you get a date sorted & ask for deposits you sudenly find you're down to 10 definites & 3 probables. Then 2 of the "definites" decide they can't make it & try to demand their deposits back (do they know the meaning of paying a deposit?).

Naturally, it's all the organisers/captains fault when events don't go ahead

Presumably, he didn't mention that he'd be playing the tournament with the new team then!!!! :D

Well, it's actually from people doing that to me that is the main reason I started playing paintball in the first place, believe it or not. I just show up to the field and at events, and if other people are there, GREAT! Otherwise, I just enjoy the day myself and play when and with whom I can. Instead of having to ask around, beg, plead, whatever with people, I believe in doing things with people that are already doing them rather than having to ask if they want to, and paintball fields are a great way of going about it. Want a good girlfriend that likes to play pool like you do? Simple, look in a pool hall for one that you see playing! Want a reliable team? Why not pick one that's always there playing rather than making excuses?
