Who invented the paintball gun?

Bald guy's right about Mr Splatmaster.

But obviously no one could play untill the first paintball was invented in October of that year, by a Mr Steve Paintball.

Oh and the sport got much safer when Barry Goggles started his safety equipment shop in Texas but that was several weeks later.

you left out Mr 12 gram capsule
hhmmmmm just found this:

The history of Paintball differs from place to place; saying it was invented in the 1980, is just like say it was invented in 1890. Well, I have actually found some info that is the real thing. James Daisey, maker of Daisey air guns, invented the paintball gun in 1970. He called his first prototype the Splockmarker, then sold that to Nelson, maker of some of today's paintballs. Nelson came out with a gun that would forever rock the world of paintball! The Nelsplot 007! Even though these guns were developed to mark cattle with permanent paint, the still are used as sidearms today. Then in 1980, someone decided that they could make big money off shooting people. So forth came paintball!

the conspiracy thickens

No, No, No, it wasn't that Nelson, it was Lord Horatio Nelson in 1798 who invented the Nelspot gun aged 40.
