Camp Masters was a complete joke!

The organisers promised so much for this tournament and to be honest myself and ALOT of people I spoke to thought it was the worst tournament they had ever been to!

QUOTE FROM CAMP WEB SITE

''The CAMP MASTER’S have always been held in top notch sites ''

Looks like your gonna have to re-do your site boys, cause your site was a mess, even before the rain!!
For those who wernt there let me let you in op what we turned up to.
Xball fields had:
3 blades of grass for every 6 foot,
ROCKS in the middle of the bloody field,
smashed GLASS over the pitch,

Now fair enough the field got shifted through to clear most of this crap BUT only after teams bitched and moaned about it, they seriously expected us to play on the field as it was!!!

Oh and by the way one of the 7man fields had a FCUKIN tree in the middle of it

Another quote from camps website, ''A MUST ATTEND EVENT … !

AN AMAZING SITE… !

AN INTERNATIONAL EVENT… !

CAMP has a solid reputation for tournament organization''

Oh really!!! Well then if this is the case why did one of your staff blow up the open xball score board by putting the wrong plug on it, the games were delayed by HOURS cause the air fill station was broken, Open XBALL guys were robbed of nearly a whole day of playing, the EXL scoreboard stopped working half way through the Sunday.
I ll give you some advice if you want a rep for EXCELLENT organisation etc etc then turn up a day or two before and inspect your site (e.g make sure there is NO GLASS on the field), TEST THE DAMM SCOREBOARD and make sure the AIR station actually WORKS

Now we all know that after every tournament someone has something to say about the judges! Now is it me or were the EXL Judges not supposed to be like the best refs in the Millenuim or something, well then why did they give some teams such a hard time about putting their barrels on the netting at the breakout, but then ignored the fact that some of the TOnTOn players were standing with their barrels at least A FOOT of the netting against Joy Division, even though there were people shouting at the refs telling them what was happning they still ignored it.

Camp masters you know that picture you guys put on your website of the Disney castle in the background and the fields covered with lush green grass everywhere, well maby you should change it to this one

But hey dont get me wrong the WHOLE tournament wasnt a complete disaster

the toilets were ok

I dont really want any1 from the Camp or Mill to respond to this with a load of excuses to why it was so bad because to be honest we are not intrested we payed alot of money to come play your tournament and it was a waste of our time and money, next time IF YOU PROMISE SOMETHING THEN DELIVER

Was pretty heartbroken after arriving there and the Tourney not living up to expectations...

Would list all our dissapointing facts..... but my heart really has to go out to the Div1 Xball players... I mean at least we got some form of games!?!?!?

We were talking on the way home and reckon the

Americans should marshall
Germans should work logistics
Brits should do the air
French should do the Promomtion
and the Swede's should just keep lookin cool!!!

People said they weren't playing the Germany round so to play the Paris event..... well I'm sorry to tell you Germany was far superior in every way!!!

these things were not acceptable:
the playing surface was far too muddy, even the exl players were falling on their faces!
The players area was a swamp, not enough space, and too far from the fields.
food area, 2 euros for a bottle of water? Highway robbery. And they kept running out of food. Good thing more teams didn't attend then.

Air station; i understand the frenchy who did the air has finally got the hint, is selling up his gear, and getting out of paintball. We only blew one burst disk this weekend due to his flash fills.
I never want to see that dodgy fu£ker at an event again...

EXL and open x-ball, both score boards are FU£ked now, will they work for amsterdam?

Things that i did like:
It was cool traveling on Eurostar. I much perfer that to flying.
Judging in 7 man is getting a lot better. It has changed the way we play the game, cheaters are no longer able to get away with it, in fact they do not live longer, but often end up in the dead box with a very angry team mate...
The ultimate pro ref thing seems to be working. I still think there is room for improvement, but generally i am much happier with the refing.

I really think Camp Masters have to own up for what went wrong.
They promised us a great tournament, and they delivered something i'd expect from the M25 league! We will not attend camp masters again, unless there is a guanentee that the quality is brought up to Millennium Standard. If you're going to bill your event as a Millennium Partner event, you better make sure it's up to standard.

Having said all that, i did enjoy the tournament, but for other reasons.

Looking forward to Amsterdam, if the DMA is as good as last year it'll be wicked.

Right on!!!!! Serves em' right! They keep insisting on putting the Camp Masters on at the same time as the Sanpshoot Trophy whose dates are published way before Camp's!!! Is this a coincidence or are they trying to put some guys out of business..... Anyhow I know where I'm going next year!!! BELGIUM!!! I can't believe I missed out on one of the best tournaments in Europe to attend this heap o' sh*te!!!! And the only reason we attended is because its part of the Millennium now!!! I feel like we got conned into it!
