Which vision board have I got?

At the back of the iframe there's a little switch with what seems like 3 positions (left, middle, right).

The light on the back flashes either green or yellow.

There are no "chirpy" noises coming out of it.

More to the point, where do I find a manual on this? The Smart Parts Europe website only seems to have manuals for ones which use the "one press/two presses" method of selecting firing modes...

I need to know how to setup my vision.

Ok, I've now found a manual for my particular board from IOG, and it makes sense that the back hole with the picture of the clock on it is "dwell", and the front hole with the picture of the lightning is the "eye calibration".

Anyway, I've followed the instructions on the manual to set the eye, but the light at the back never comes on orange to indicate that the ball has been detected. I've tried this with the red/orange blaze paint I was using yesterday on both halves (red and orange)

Any ideas?

did u turn the ball for both colours?
In all honesty i mostly use chronic which is single colour and have had no problems. I know the older boards sometimes had trouble sensing certain colours so may be worth trying a different colour ball and see what happens then

Yes, I tried both sides, and also (on advice from Philip) I tried taking out the bolt pin and pushing the bolt forward in front of the eye, as well as the old favourite "my finger"...

I also have some old bluey-silver zap lying around, but that had no effect either, but I assumed it might be cos it's a bit shiny.

I'll buy some cotton buds today and try cleaning off the eye - any tips on what I should use? Just water, or cleaning solution of any kind? Thinking about it though, if the eye was smegged up then it would be the same as if it were detecting paint... ?

Also its most probabbly the Eye ribbon, just phone Smartparts europe 01322 555968 and order a new one.

I've found the right manual now... thanks!

How would I tell if the ribbon is duff? Is there an easy way to tell? And how much is a new one, cos I'm a bit skint, what with having to pay for a car I wrote off last week...

You may need to change the vision stitch on your board.

If you put a ball in and keep turning the "eye" control until if flashes green (which means it can fire) then you should have no probs.

I have my vision on 12 o'clock so if its not that then give that a go and I'm sure it will work

Do you mean the thing where u turn the dial all the way clockwise, then turn it back slowly with a ball in the breach? Cos it never flashes to indicate that it's detected the ball when I do that...

What's the "vision stitch"?
