I've had two HALO B's on my IR3, and they both made it a blender. The first one I eventually got fixed, but I got rid of it and bought a TE version, which won't work no matter what I do. I'm going to try another one though, I somehow can't see how the HALO B will work with some IR3's and not others when every IR3 is built to the same specs. I'm more inclined to think it's some fault in the HALO. Anyway, an Egg II should be fast enough for you. If it's not, try a HALO, or turn your mrof down, and COPS on. The pre Y board Eggs have an advertised speed of 17 bps, so no, they're not a whole lot faster than a well setup revvy, which can do about 14. Y and Z boards are both supposed to put it in the 20 bps or above category though.
