Which guns can really cut it at the highest level

OK, so loads of different markers are making waves on the circuit nowadays, but how many can really cut it at the top end. Let's say we got 3 categories of tournament gun, for argument's sake...

A

Angel
Impulse
Timmy
Matrix

B

Cocker
Emag
Viking
Excalibur
Shocker
Bushmaster

C
Electro Spyder
Tippmann

ALL of these guns has won tournaments at Am level and above, but which ones are realy up to it...i.e. If we have an 8-team X-Ball superleague, which of these guns will get used to keep everyone on a leevl playing field?

(Oooh, contentious...)

All of group A and B...

Not sure quite what revelence the question has as one tricked out Impulse can perform remarkably different to another, and the same with the rest.

I suppose players will always be allowed to mod their markers, and even if team plans insist everyones marker is the same there will be differences between teams using the same base marker.

No one single marker will be singled out as a 'you must have this to play' marker (I hope!).

Unless your going into a F1-type scenario where it's "Your marker must weigh this amount, hold this many shots in it's hopper, use this air pressure, this tank size, not fire auto or more than 300fps, or be yellow, orange or pink, must have a trigger guard... but oustide of those limits feel free to mod all you like" then asking "which marker?" will always get the same answer... "Which players holding it?"

If you are talking about the current tourny scene then why the heck isn't the cocker in the number one bracket? It's use and following is still huge!

All of those guns can cut it at the top end.

Although the marker is important the most important thing is the 'nut at the butt'.

As has been said, teams do and can often change guns and still rip! So that show's it's the player more than the marker once they start using any of the top end guns.

The difference in the top end guns is slight and it often just comes down to personal preference.

Well I can tell you for a fact that I'd prefer walk on a field with my Viking than any other in that list (well apart from an Excalibur!)

I'd happily do it with out a squeegie as well!!

5 or 6 tourneys, about 20,000 shots later and approx 3 barrels bursts!

Upkeep. . . well I occasionally drop a few drops of oil in the air reciever and dry fire it . . . oh and change the 9v.

Add on top of this unscratchable hard Diamond Dust finish, it'll still look the same after lots of abuse!

All I know is I switch i on and walk out to the field to play! :D

Read Baca's review in this month PGI ;)

I can say exactly the same about my C&C extreme. That's why ultimately it comes down to personal preference.

but that said...

You've had 3 barrel bursts in so few balls (10 cases)? that's bad. :D I've had no breaks in the barrel or breach in the last 28 cases of paint that I've shot. Oh and that paint was mainly hellfire also :) (some brass eagle crap also)

I wonder if it's your gun's fault for breaking so much paint or your paint (hehehe contentious) or maybe it was 'USR' error ;) (just ribbing you, seeya at STR).

How did you?

How did you choose which marker went in each group?
e.g performance, number sold, rate of fire, number of upgrades avaliable.
I dont think you can seperate much out.

If all teams were given the same markers, with the same upgrades done to them. how would that infuence the game??

more to the point, how would that effect the industry??
if players started to follow the similar ruling that that only X version on the autococker is permitted at Y tourney.
Then the 3rd party spares market would be ruined.

most markers are competitive on the field, it depends on who's using them and where they are playing from.
